Vintage Whiting & Davis Cream Color Metal Mesh Purse

The entire purse, including the handle, is done is cream enamel-like metal mesh. There is a zipper in the center, which is hidden by the top edges; the zipper works perfectly.

The inside lining is done in navy taffeta & features an open side pocket (5” across & 2 ½” deep). The original label is sewn on the side of the pocket and reads: AluMesh, Whiting & Davis Co., Bags, Made in U.S.A., Pat. 78.124 (this is difficult to read, so the numbers may not be correct). The lining is in perfect condition, with no tears, stains or odors.

The overall condition of this purse is excellent, with only minor wear to note.

The purse is approx. 11” across the widest point & 8 ½” long, with 7 ½” long of useable space (due to the zipper). The handle has a 5 ½” drop, making the total length 14”, with the handle.

This is a great looking vintage purse, which is perfect for year-round use.
