This sterling silver overlay perfume bottle is absolutely gorgeous. The silver overlay is heavy and not lightly done, like silver deposit.
The front of the bottle is engraved: K. Le Bus The remaining bottle is done in ornate scrollwork. The bottle stopper is original to the bottle.
The glass bottom has the number 267 etched in the bottle. This bottle is signed/numbered on a portion of the bottom silver edge: it reads, in part: C13-1, 999 Fine, then next to this is an emblem with possible a letter inside; it's difficult to read.
The condition is good to very good, with the following to note: as seen in a couple photos, the glass stopper is broken & chipped. This does not affect the stopper and how it fits into the bottle top. The top of the stopper has a scratch at the top, which may come out if taken to a professional. It is approx. 5/8" long, but 1/8" of this is silver overlay (it runs across a piece of scrollwork). The bottle has fogginess inside, which may come out. I am not a glass expert by any means, but I do know there are "tricks of the trade" in getting fogginess out. There is a scratch below the front rim, which is approx. 1/8" long. It is very smooth to the touch, so it may be original to the piece & done in the glass making process. The all sterling rim has scratches; this bottle is so much nicer than how my description reads.
The bottle is approx. 4 ¼" tall; the circumference around the widest portion of the bottle is approx. 11 ½".
This is a beautiful bottle which will be a wonderful addition to your collection.
