Gorgeous Vintage Tobacco Silks Pillow Top-27 Silks w/Butterflies, Birds, Flowers, Countries & Large American Flag

There are a total of 27 silk pieces, which have been individually hand stitched with blue silky thread, onto a gorgeous yellow silk square. The silk has been hand stitched to a cotton backing. The silks include butterflies, flowers, and various countries, along with a large American flag. The size of each silk piece varies just a bit, but range from approx. 2 ½ & 2 ¾” X 1 ¾” & 2”. The center flag silk is much larger, measuring 6” long & 4 ¾” wide.

The workmanship on this piece is amazing; it was definitely done by a very creative and talented person.

Many of the silks include the name of the flower or bird, and the countries are named; only the butterflies are un-named.

The condition is near mint. The only flaw is the lower corner, which is missing a small portion of the solid yellow silk (approx. 1 ½” X ½”). I’ve shown this in my photo. I doubt this would show if framed or made into a pillow. The flag has blue lines running down the white & red stripes, but this appears to be original to the piece. There are no tear, shredding, stains or odors.

The approx. dimensions are: 24” X 18”.

This is truly an outstanding vintage tobacco silks pillow top, which would look beautiful framed as well. No matter how you use it, you will absolutely love & treasure it.
