This vintage pottery vase is so ornate, with beautiful decorative detail & colors.
One side features three winged cherubs, two birds & cascading greenery & flowers. The other side is almost identical, except it features two winged cherubs & a bit less greenery & flowers. The entire base has a decorative pattern of long leaves, with flowers & leaves right above this, cascading across the front & back. The top also features this design, but to a lesser degree.
The bottom reads: 2, Made in Japan. There are three numbers incised below this, but they are difficult to read.
This pottery vase has a glaze over the entire piece.
The overall condition is quite good, with the following to note: overall pottery raised "bumps", with some pot marks on the blue center portion only. Overall crazing & as you can see, uneven decorative painting (not really a flaw, since it was done during the making of the vase). There are a couple teensy chips; one at the bottom rim (see photo) & one by one handle edge.
The vase is 10 ¼" tall; the base circumference is 12 ¾".
This very decorative vase is gorgeous all by itself, but of course, it would really look amazing with a beautiful floral bouquet or even feathers. No matter how it's displayed, it will add a wonderful decorative touch to your room.
