This wax wedding set dates to the late 1800's and consists of a large wax tiara, a small & medium corsage, small wax pieces along with the original wedding cabinet card.
The wax tiara is absolutely stunning and large. It features large cream color wax buds, some wax orange blossoms along with some leaves. The entire tiara is done on a heavy wire & metal frame, and it fits on the head firmly. One end has a small piece of metal showing, which can be clipped off if desired.
There are two corsages; as shown in the photo, the bride is wearing the small one on one side of the lace collar. The larger one is shown on the grooms' lapel. There are some small pieces which were included with this set, so you may be able to put them together to make another small corsage.
The overall condition is superb. The small corsage has a wax piece which drops down from the stamen; this could be glued or just left as is. The cabinet card is gorgeous and glossy. This set was no doubt mounted in a shadow box frame, since the back of the cabinet card shows remnants of glue on all four corners.
The circumference of the tiara is approx. 17"; the crown portion is approx. 4 ½" high in the center. The small corsage is 3 ½" tall to the leaf & the medium corsage is approx. 5 ½" tall.
This is a stunning antique wax bridal set which would look gorgeous worn today.
