This antique oval tin tray is so pretty.
There is a winged cherub playing a flute, with a beautiful maiden in a flowing sheer gown; she's wearing a floral wreath and is holding a long red flowing ribbon which is attached to grapes & leaves. The background scene appears to be a forest.
The decorative inner border is done in gold & claret red with roses at the top, bottom and each side. The inner border reads: The H.D. Beach Co., Coshocton, O. No. 1. The outside border is dark brown.
The dimensions are: 16 ¾" long & 13 ¾" wide.
Considering this tray is over 100 years old, it's in very good condition. There is wear/rusted areas along the outer brown edges; there are a few small areas (mainly under the foot of the cherub & to the left of the maiden's floral wreath) where the colors have rubbed off; there are three small white paint spots, which may come off; overall rust spots on the front, most you can only see if turned a certain way (see last pic). The only truly visible spots are around the foot of the maiden. There are scratches on the maidens' face & chest area, with overall light scratches elsewhere. There are two small dents, which are only visible when you turn the tray a certain way (see back photo to see one small dent). This tray is so much nicer than how my description reads. When it's hung/displayed, the imperfections will not "pop" out; you will no doubt be very pleased.
This gorgeous antique tray will certainly enhance any room.
