RARE Eugene Max Clauss Pair of Figurines

This is a very rare pair of french made figurines by Eugene Clauss Max in the 1800's. The mark is often confused with Meissen's crossed swords. They stand 8 1/2" tall. They are of impeccable quality and have lavishly painted clothing. The man looks like Neptune - he wears a gold crown and has a grey beard. He has a torch in his right hand and a regal looking eagle is perched at his feet with his wings extended. He has a professional repair to his crown and the bottom of his torch. The woman also wears a gold crown and a beautiful gold dress with flowers. She has a turkey standing at her feet. Her arm has been professionally reattached and repaired. They are both outstanding and you don't want to miss this rare opportunity to own them. I've never seen another pair like this set.
