19th Century French Fashion Antique Doll Gold Chase a Porteur with Lovebirds 11"

This is an amazing piece: a wood carriage for a french fashion doll. It stands 11" tall and has a pair of painted lovebirds on the front as well as blue birds of happiness on each side. The interior is lined with rose patterned ivory silk faille. Inspried by the Chinese sedan chair, the chaise a porteur in various miniature sizes was a popular decorative vitrine in France at the mid/end of the 19th century. This is a wonderful display piece for french fashion dolls and mignonettes. Excellent overall condition with some worn ends to the poles on both sides. The glass inside has flowers painted on it (There is a small chip to the side of the glass, but not too bad). Layaway is available with $300 down provided the remainder is paid in 6 monthly payments or less.
