RARE Roullet De Camps Automaton Jumeau Dancing Puppy!

This is a rare find - an all original automaton of a female magician with her dancing puppy! The piece was made by Roullet De Camps between 1890-1899 and still has its original key. The overall height of the automaton is 22" - which includes the top of the hat. The doll itself is 15" and she is marked Tete Jumeau in red on the back of her head. Her bisque head and hands are free from any hairlines or cracks. She has an open mouth with white space for teeth (not positive that the white area is original - could be a restoration). She has her original pate and gorgeous curly auburn wig. Her clothing is incredible - original pink decorative silk dress with fringe and elaborate tricorn hat. When wound the music plays crisply while the doll waves her baton up and down and the puppy jumps quickly up and down simultaneously. The head makes a slight turn to the left and then up and down - however, the head movement is faint so it could stand a tune up. I don't want to tamper with it since it is a delicate piece. It is a fascinating piece and rare to find this particular one. Layaway is available with $1000 down provided the remainder is paid in 12 monthly installments or less.
