This is a rare find: an all original gliding Steiner. She is 15" tall and when wound, she glides across the floor moving her hands up and down crying "mama". She also turns and forms a circle. Her bisque head is free from any hairlines or restoration. She has wonderful blue eyes, pale bisque and an open mouth bearing tiny teeth. She has a very light surface scratch on her nose which can only be seen under magnification. She also has a tiny area of missing eyeliner. She has lovely bisque hands with one chipped finger on her right hand, easily covered with the flowers she is holding. She wears her original fleece blonde mohair wig, original wool sailor skirt and top and hat. Underneath the skirt is her original carton body complete with store label. The cardboard base and wood bottom are fragile and starting to separate slightly, but she is still functional. This wonderful piece of history dates to 1865! She is at a fantastic price due to the minor flaws mentioned above. She is available on layawy with just $400 down provided the remainder is paid in 12 monthly installments or less.
