Leopold Lambert Polchinelle Automaton Playing Cymbals

This fabulous automaton was made by Leopold Lambert during the 1880's to 1890's. It stands 19" tall and is a Polchinelle who is playing the cymbals! She is is fabulous all original condition. Her bisque head is free from any defects including hairlines, restoration or blemishes. She has sleeping blue eyes with lashes, nice creamy bisque, open mouth with tiny teeth and a sweet expression. She has her original silk outfit, which has faded somewhat and frail, her wonderful original brown curly gypsy style wig with red silk cap and darling silk shoes with bows. She stands on her red velvet covered box. When wound, she claps her hands together and the cymbals sound while her head nods back and forth. Her music is crisp and clear. One cymbal has deterioration, but plays just fine. She has darling gold earrings that I believe are original to her as well. The back of her head is marked S&H 1300 and her key is fixed and marked with Leopold Lambert's initials. She is a wonderful piece and sure to please any discriminating collectors of dolls, automata or wind up toys. Layaway is available with $300 down provided the remainder is paid in 12 monthly installments or less.
