This beauty stands 24" tall and is referred to as a Belton or Sonnenberg doll. She has a solid dome head. Her bisque is perfect - nice and pale with startling huge blue eyes. She has feathered brows an a closed mouth with a defined space. Her lovely lips are outlined. According to Theriaults, she was made to resemble Jumeau's Triste and compete accordingly. I do not know the maker - there is an impressed number on the back of her bisque head, but I can't read it - perhaps 1117? She has a composition and wood ball jointed body. The hands are a different shade than the body so this means they were repainted or replaced. It was like this when I bought it from Theriaults six years ago but they appear appropriate in size. This doll is wearing a vintage blonde wig with banana curls in its original set with bobby pins. The dress was custom made by a talented seamstress in Europe and is a light blue gauze dress with individual pleats and antique lace overlay. The doll has wonderful antique undergarments, antique shoes and socks. She is a dream and can be yours for $400 down provided the remainder in paid in 12 monthly payments or less.
