Antique cranberry glass lustres, hand decorated, monumental

A beautiful monumental pair of antique hand decorated vibrant cranberry glass lustres with 16 heavily etched prisms on each one. These lustres have been in my family since the late 60's and were purchased from the original owner of the house we bought who had them displayed in that same 1930s home. They are truly amazing.

The lustres are 13.5" in height, the top bowl and base have an 8.5" diameter and the crystals are 7.5 inches long. The color is the classic cranberry red. My parents collected cranberry glass for 50 years and it remains my favorite color of glass. The lustres are beautifully hand decorated with flowers and gold, on one the painting is more vibrant than the other.

These are hard to describe well and the pictures tell the story best. These are very heavy. Made of one piece of glass, which amazes me as they are so tall and have so many features. The top edge of the lustres are cut and have gold leaf, there are two or three very tiny nibbles on the top edge,n no cracks. Overall, these are in excellent antique condition. Some of the crystals also have some tiny nibbles, would benefit from being rewired as the they are still on the original metal pins.
