This lovely commemorative plate was produced by Royal Cauldron depicting the Glastonbury Abbey, from a series of plates for famous and historic English buildings. Where it is believed by some, to be the place where the renowned King Arthur is buried.
This earthenware plate is 9 1/2" wide with a black transfer ware in black under the glaze. The large outside band of the plate has an embossed beaded decoration. No chips, no cracks, only tiny imperfection is a pick in the glaze on the center of the plate. The spot does not show on the photos (in a clear area of the sky). However, we have priced accordingly.
