Vintage Chinese Enameled Porcelain Plate, Water-Theme Decor
This richly enameled Chinese porcelain dish features a central underwater scene with three red koi carp. The border is decorated in generously-applied enamels in "famille verte", primarily celadon green with yellow reserves featuring large pink lotuses alternating with black-outlined reserves featuring water birds. DIMENSIONS: Diameter 10 inches; height, 1 & 1/2 inches. MARKS: Stamped in red with a total of 9 Chinese characters. CONDITION: Structurally perfect, pings like a bell. Decoration is overall intact and presents well. Some of the green enamel is chipped and there are tiny manufacturing flaws.
