1953 Madame Alexander Miss Flora McFlimsey doll - Cissy

Beautiful vintage 15" vinyl Miss Flora McFlimsey doll, made by Madame Alexander Doll Company in 1953 only. Miss Flora has a vinyl "Cissy" head and hard plastic moveable arms and legs. She wears her original Madame Alexander tagged dress: ivory colored cotton with eyelet trim on the hem, sleeves and arms. Underneath, she has on a matching pair of cotton knee-length bloomers, black knee length stockings and charming two-button red and black shoes. Her dress has three buttons in the back and a pale pink ribbon tie around the waist. The dress does have some damage in the back and has been patched. Her blonde hair is nicely coiffed. She has fixed blue eyes, rosy cheeks, pink lips and nice color. Her painted pale lashes have faded and there is a tiny brown dot near the hairline above her right eye. May be removable with the right solvent but I don't want to attempt it. But overall, a very nice vintage and hard to find Madame Alexander doll. Listed in the 2007 Madame Alexander price guide for $750+.
