Another item from the tortoise and silver collection I'm listing this week, this one was probably meant for a man.
It is a cut glass cologne bottle with a sterling lid. the top is tortoise shell, inlaid with pique work. The hallmarks indicate it was manufactured in London in 1923. The design has a deco feel to it.
The piece is 4 1/4" high and has an oval base measuring 2 3/4" by 1 1/2". The lid design resembles a floral wreath. The top unscrews to reveal a cork that appears to be original. It is in good vintage condition with some minor scratching to the silver. All the tortoise and pique work is intact.
Please Note: Tortoise shell cannot be shipped internationally, or to California.
Thanks for visiting.
