Imperial Carnival Glass ~ Compote ~ Propeller Pattern ~ Marigold
This is a nice little piece of Carnival Glass. It is the Propeller Pattern from Imperial Glass Company. The pattern is pictured on page 204 of the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass, 10th Edition, by Edwards and Carwile. It looks like a an Inverted Thumbprint with a Bow-knot on both the bowl and the foot. This is the small compote. The color is very good. It stands 3" tall, and is 4 3/4" in diameter, the foot is 2 1/2" across. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, or other damage that I can detect.
Very interesting! Pretty on your table or in your display cabinet!
