This nice antique platter was made by New Wharf Pottery Company, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England, The company operated from 1878 to 1894. The Staffordshire Knot incorporated into the inked mark on the back is similar to many used by other Stoke-on-Trent potters of this era.
The platter has a pleasant flowering vines transfer pattern in brown on a light cream blank. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a couple of very minor, small rough to the touch spots on one side of the rim. It measures 10.5" wide by 14.25" long by 1" tall.
It would look great on your table, filled with fruits, etc., or on a stand gracing your mantle or display case.
As always, all reasonable offers are welcomed and considered.
Enjoy each day!
