Is this so cool or what? I was very excited to find this vintage dinning table and fiberglass chairs in very good ready to use condition. The table top is white formica over wood composite and it is in unbelievable condition especially when considering age. Both table base and the bases to all four chairs are metal with white paint enamel, the chairs all swivel. This tulip design was popularized by Saarinen and the chairs are exact duplicates of his design but these are marked as North Central Industries Inc. Johnson Creek Wisc. Pat Pending and as far as I know there is no association between the two(the pat pending is a little confusing though, did these come first?). Table top measures 42" and is 29" tall , seats all have arms and are made of one solid fiberglass shell with no cracks and are very comfortable(love the swivel feature!). Chairs are 32" measuring at the top back and are 24 inches across from the outside of the arms. The metal pedestal bases are silver underneath and may be chrome but they look like they have always been painted white so it's probably original. I was not just excited to find this and at such a good price but also very eager to offer this set that I took my pictures just as soon as it was unloaded and before I had cleaned it up (still looks great). It cleaned up well and I will probably update the pictures but while I was underneath cleaning I found a nut to be missing on a chair base which I replaced, otherwise I have no complaints to make about this set at all. The price for the set which includes 4 chairs and the table(5 pieces)
