This wonderful antique French Game Board print was part of an old archive find. It is an absolutely gorgeous, HUGE print with all types of biplanes! It dates to around 1910, and was never mounted to the game board backing. The colors are vivid and as bright as the day they were printed, no fading at all. (Any lighter coloring you see is just the flash reflection.)
The background is a sky blue color, with incredible historical aviation scenes. There are biplanes, the Eiffel Tower, Egyptian pyramids, waterfalls, glaciers, locomotive trains, sampan boats, an English cathedral, an ocean crash scene, a mid-air collision scene, a plane entangled in telegraph wires, and more! All commemorate the flights of many different styles of aircraft or biplanes. At the bottom are spectators, witnessing the events.
This game board was made by Saussine of Paris. It is in VG to NF condition, with minimal wear to the edges that will frame or mat out nicely. It in an immense piece, measuring 25.5 x 41.5 inches. Perfect for the game room, a child’s room, an aviation hanger, the man cave, and more! Do visit our shop for more French game boards, and yes, we do combine postage.
