c1902 CABBAGE ROSES Print H. D. Marsh Chromolithograph Half Yard Long

This lovely study of pink cabbage roses in and near a shallow crystal rose bowl is by the Victorian artist, H. D. Marsh. The roses are beautiful, with soft heavy heads, the ensemble placed on a dramatic dark background. In Victorian times, the pink rose symbolized that the bearer was "An Ambassador of Love".

The print is a chromolithograph, printed for the Art Interchange Magazine in 1902. It is a half yard long study, measuring 8.75 x 16.5 inches. The print has some surface wear, mostly at the corners, in good condition, and will frame up nicely. The colors most resemble the first photo.
