c1886 Trout Fishing in Montana Engraving Print Zogbaum Fish Creel Man Cave Art

This wonderful old engraving is dated July 10, 1886, and depicts a familiar fishing scene. It comes from a Harper's Weekly magazine, and is entitled "Trout Fishing in Montana". The artist was R. F. Zogbaum, and the inscription lower left indicates he drew this image back in 1880.

Depicted are several men who are on a fly fishing trip, and it appears the catch is good. Two men are cleaning their catch, one holds up a fish, while another has a string of fish, and wears a creel and waders. The river scene is typical of Montana with its wetland banks and windy path. Just a wonderful engraved print for the Man Cave retreat, den, cabin, or lodge. Please note that my camera's eye has trouble capturing the engraver's detail, and that the image is crisp and well defined, just ever so handsome.

Overall size is aprox 10.75 x 15.75 inches, in VG+++ condition for its age, and is ready for framing. It can fit into a standard size 11 x 14 inch frame. We'll ship this one rolled in a tube to get it to you safely. Please visit our shop for more "Man Cave Art", where you can always combine items and save on postage.
