This sweet 1895 print is entitled "A Precious Burden" and is by the artist A. M. Turner. It depicts several children atop a donkey at the beach. The childrens' faces are just gorgeous, in lovely flesh tones. They even have high button shoes! Around them are seated ladies with umbrellas, and other children busily building sand castles.

This print was made in 1895 by the Knapp Lithographic Company of New York, and was distributed by the Chicago Tribune Newspaper on November 30, 1895. The image area is in VG+++ condition, with the margins having the usual wear which will frame out completely. Overall size is 8.75 x 16.5 inches in the half yard long format.
