Bessie Pease Gutmann Cherub Butterfly Print Original Frame
We offer a early 1900's print of a Cherub gazing at a butterfly by Bessie Pease Gutmann. The print is in it's original frame. The frame is rough and has scrapes and losses. It has not been re-painted or restored. The original backing is on the print and I will not remove it. The overall size of the piece is 1 3/8 by 14 5/8 inch. There is glass in the frame.
Looking closely, lower and upper right corners, there is the faintest hint of a water/moisture stain. There is some fading I'm sure after almost 100 years. I see some bubbles in the glass..common to old glass.
The sticker on the back tells the firm that framed the print. Woodfield Art Store in Astoria Oregon.
