We offer a vintage 1950's children's book The Big Noddy Book by Enid Blyton, illustrated by Beek. My research tells me this is the first edition, I believe from 1954. The book is in pretty good condition considering it's age and it was a children's book. It measures approx 8 1/4 by 10 inches. Binding is pretty tight. There is a page that Noddy says take your coloured pencils or paints and colour this picture. And, the child did. Very neatly. The original owners name is in pencil on the inside front. I didn't find any tears. I do see some foxing. The cover edges are worn. The illustrations are delightful and if you are looking for colorful prints to frame, this book is a good candidate. Included characters are Golliwog, Fluffy Doll, Big Ears and many, many more English childhood friends. There is a very faint musty smell from storage. I'm sure it will fade with time.
