Currier and Ives Hand Colored Litho Framed 'Little Daisy'

This is a Currier and Ives litho titled 'Little Daisy. A form of this, was given as a subscriber premium for 'Young Folks Gem' at one time although the one pictured with that description is a different size, slightly smaller and colored in blues. The print would measure about 10 7/8" by 13 7/8" There is some water damage near the bottom and a verticle dark colored stain by the girl's right fingers where she is holding onto the flowers. The wood backing of the frame is vertically split there and I am sure that that is what has caused this vertical stain. The frame itself measures 19 5/8" by 16 1/2" and is the sort of frame that has the crossed ends that would have been covered in applied carved wooden foliage at each of the four corners. That foliage is missing. There are some chips to the inner part of the frame. One is on the side with the vertical stain just 3 5/8" up from the bottom of the picture is a small chip, 3/8" tall and 1/16" deep, out of the frame. The frame is also chipped in the lower corner on that same side. The gold-painted center part of the frame is cracked in places and has black spots that I would think have come from fly dirt over the years. The wooden part of the frame is nice and sturdy with the exception of the missing foliage attachments and the verticle break in the frame backing. This would have dated around the 1870's or so.
