Wire Mesh Purse with Silver-plate Frame
This is a lovely old wire mesh purse with an unmarked silver plate frame. This dates from about the 1920's in the Art Deco and Flapper era. It measures 6 1/2" long, 3 1/2" wide and about 1/4" thick. There are no loose or missing or torn mesh areas. The purse is not lined. There are no scratch marks on the silver plated frame. Even though it is not marked, I can tell that this is silver plated because of the unique smell that it has when I rub on the tarnish with my fingers and the ease with which my Never-dull silver cleaner, polishes it.
