Pair of Victorian Vases, Hand blown, Enameled,

This is a pair of hand blown, hand enameled, Victorian vases. When you look at them you would think that they are the same exact color but actually one has a slight teal or spruce color to it and one is more of a deep forest green. The enameled decorations are the same. The vases measure 10" tall and just under 3 3/4" in diameter at the base, and 2 1/8" diameter at the top. I do not know the maker. These vases were mold blown and cut off the pontil at the top and as happens so many times when this technique is used the cuts are not perfect. The teal colored vase has a 1/8" nick on the outside top rim, probably has been there since it was cut and the greener vase has a smaller nick on the inside of the top rim, again it was probably done at the time that the vases were cut off the pontil and taken out of the mold. Other than the previous, there is no other damage. I do believe that there was alot of gold decorations on the vases as some can still be slightly seen, but most of the gold has worn off. These must have been favorites and used and washed many times. A great pair of Victorian 1800's vases to add to your collection!!!!
