Blue Graniteware Wash pan
This is a solid denim blue graniteware washpan with a black rim and black on the handles. There are a few paint chips, and near the bottom edge there is a dent and a deep l shaped scratch where about 3/4" square of enamel has chipped off. The pan measures 15 1/4" in diameter and is 5" tall. Graniteware first showed up at the 1876 Philadelphia Exposition and was made in large quantities. Chips in the enamel are to be expected due to the nature of the product. Happy Collecting!!!!
