Blue speckled Graniteware Stove Pot w/ Cover
This is a robins egg blue speckled graniteware stove pot with a bail handle and a lid. It is in great shape with just one spot of enamel missing on the lid knob about 1/4" to 3/8" wide and one spot on the bottom edge of the pot, about 1/4" by 1/8" and two opened air bubbles near the spot where the handle hooks are. There is also enamel missing in one spot on the inside of the pot and the inside of the lid on the bottom rim. I would call the overall condition of this pot excellent for its age. This pot measures 7 3/8" in diameter, and 8 1/4" to the top of the knob on the cover. Graniteware was first featured at the Philadelphia Expo in 1876 and was then produced in mass quantities. Some chipping is to be expected because of the fragile nature of the enameling. Happy Collecting!!!!
