Blue Transfer Pierced Edge Undertray ca. 1840

A nice clean pierced edge shaped tray with an allover floral transfer in blue.

This was probably the undertray for a pierced basket form dish. Ca. 1840. The printed mark on the back is for the pattern, "Brunswick Star", but pattern doesn't seem to be listed, and maker is unknown (at least to me), but typical of English or Scottish potteries of this period.

Size: Approximately 10.75" long, 8.75" wide.

Condition: Very good. Some slight discoloration on back. No chips, cracks or repairs.

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
