Wedgwood Aesthetic Transfer Pitcher ca. 1879

This cream colored earthenware pitcher (or possibly vase, as there is no spout) has transfer decoration with added coloring. The design is a fantasy of palm trees, flowers and birds, with geometric border. Typical of the aesthetic decorations of the late 19th century.

Impressed WEDGWOOD mark, MNH (date mark for 1879), raised registry mark for 1879, green painted decorator mark. Size: Approximately 6.25" high.

Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs.

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
