Large Royal Nippon Vase

Here is something different in a Nippon vase. Probably a response to the Spanish revival fashions of the 1920's, this is decorated using bird and leaf motifs reminiscent of European country ceramics. With its folk-art type decoration and soft, matte glaze, people are always surprised to see a Nippon mark on the bottom. Marked Royal Nippon Nishiki, and "Hand Painted".

Size: Approximately 12" high, 7" diameter at widest point.

Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
