Caughley Coffee Cup/Saucer ca. 1790
This cup and saucer has dark blue bands around the upper interiors, with a gilt rope design over, and gilt leaf sprays in bottom and exterior. The form is fluted, with scalloped edge.
Cup is marked "S" in underglaze blue.
Size: Saucer approximately 5.5" diameter; cup 2.5" high, 2.625" top diameter.
Condition: Some wear to gold decoration. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
