Set of Four Paris Porcelain Dishes
Probably French, mid-nineteenth century, in what is generically known as "Paris porcelain". Marked only incised number 79 (probably a stock or size number). Elegant appearance, and an unusual shape.
Size: Approximately 10.75" long, 5.25" wide, 2" high at ends.
Condition: Very good. Some wear to gilding. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
