This pitcher (or jug) has a pearlware body with a wide band of silver luster resist decoration in an allover floral pattern. Decoration has survived remarkably well, with little rubbing (what may look like light area around bottom is reflection during photo shoot). English, ca. 1825.
It has a couple of flaws, but that makes the price very reasonable.
Size: Approximately 6.5" wide, 5.625" high.
Condition: Chip on end of spout and on collar. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
