Mason's Ironstone Soup Plate ca. 1815-20

This early Mason’s soup plate has an Imari-inspired design in cobalt, iron red and gilding (on a white ground, although my photos may show a yellow cast). It has typical Asian motifs, with a “wall” of multicolor blocks protecting a village.

Impressed “Masons Patent Ironstone China” mark, it dates circa 1815-20.

Size: 8” diameter

Condition: Excellent, with slight wear to gilding/paint at high spots. No chips, cracks or repairs.

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
