Copper Luster and Polychrome Pitcher ca. 1845-55

This little copper luster pitcher has a deep blue/green band with enameled relief decorations of rose sprays and a pair of classical figures.

Most of these items were decorative "cottage wares" rather than intended for use, and they make a charming display on a shelf or mantel.

Size: Approximately 4.125" high.

Condition: Tiny chip on side of spout, some flaking to enameling. Burst glaze bubble on handle during manufacture. No other chips, cracks or repairs.

Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
