Awesome Austrian Porcelain Vase ~ 8'' tall and "chubby", nice! Hand Painted with Luster & Poppies & Gold ~ Moritz Zdekauer Austria 1884-1910

The colors on this piece grab your attention and make you stop and look! The upper portion has a wide band of beautiful bold orange poppies and green leaves placed on an iridescent luster background. The poppy design is outlined in black giving it nice definition. The middle part of the vase has a deep, rich, forest green color followed by another gold band. The bottom of the pieces flares out slightly and has the same poppy decoration as the top portion. The stems of the lower poppies have been painted through the green middle to connect to the upper flowers. The glaze applied over the piece is very shinny giving it a wonderful look. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It does however have a small firing pop on the side, please see pictures. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
