Fantastic 15" Belleek Tankard Hand Painted with Dragon and Berries ~ Willet Belleek 1879-1912

This is a wonderful piece of Belleek and would make a fantastic look to the décor. It has a deep forest green color on the handle and upper portion of the body and a mixture of pastels for the background on the lower portion. Between the dark green and pastels the artist has painted a dragon type creature in different shades of greens. On the pastel background he has added green leaved vines with green and pinkish purple berries along with tendrils and deep green scroll work. This definitely is a conversation piece! There are no chips or cracks; manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
