(4) ~ Old English Earthenware Bowls 9 ¼” ~Brown Transfer ~ Aesthetic / Cartouches with Flowers / Deer / Birds ~ “Warwick Pattern” ~ J. Dimmock & Co Hanley Staffordshire, England 1880

Set of (4): This transfer pattern was registered to the Dimmock pottery in June 1880. The transfer color is a deep chocolate and coffee brown and is on a wonderful cream color background. The central cartouche almost looks like a postcard front. It has a bugling stag with a doe standing under the trees and mountains in the background. The surrounding pattern is an asymmetrical arrangement of two cartouches of leaves and flower, one cartouche has a bird sitting on a branch amongst leaves and flowers. A circle of geometric design circles the inner patterns. Greek key pattern appears on outer rim of the border along with a pyramid design. Brown bands separate the awesome patterns. One bowl has a rim flake please see pictures. IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE EARTHENWARE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
