What a wonderful and unique set!! These pieces are hand painted with a wonderful cream and peach background. The artist has painted white, orange and purple poppies among green ferns, and various other beautiful flowers. He has placed these flowers on the front, back and on the lids. To enhance the beauty he has added a pastel pink background and a baby blue background by the main floral motif. The artist has added gold and white enamel to the petals and has outlined some of the flowers bring them to life. The lids have wonderful ornate finial and the bases have raised scroll designs accented with gold. The teapot has an awesome ornate split handle that swirls down one side as it attaches to the base and the side of the pot. Leaf designs are decorating the front of the spout giving it a wonderful look. These two beauties are in excellent condition for their age.
There is a small restoration to a flea-bite on the underside of the spout, left side. No other chips, cracks or damage. Normal crazing is apparent.
