Great Earthenware Chamber Pot ~ Brown Transfer of Birds & Foliage ~ late 1800's – early 1900's

These make great decorating items for the bathroom or you could put a plant it it! This old pot has a wonderful raised design of belts and fasteners. The raised portion almost looks like some type of saddle bag design. Reddish brown transfers of flamingos on one side and peacock and birds on the other surrounded by lush foliage have been placed on a creamy gray background color. A reddish brown band decorates the rim. There is a repaired chip on the base otherwise piece is in very nice condition for its age. IT IS RARE TO FIND ANTIQUE EARTHENWARE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
