Gorgeous 12 1/2" Limoges Porcelain Hand Painted Charger ~ Turkey Hen with Toms ~ Artist Signed & Dated ~ Tressemann & Vogt ( T&V ) Limoges France 1911

This charger has a lovely scene of a gorgeous turkey hen as the main focus. It is not often that you see the female turkey as the main object of a game plate so this would be a good one to add to your collection. The artist has used various colors on her feathers giving the hen a beautiful look. In the distance two tom turkeys have their tails fanned hoping to get her attention. The turkeys are painted in prairie scene with tall grasses surrounding them. This masterpiece has been completed with a gold rococo rim. Raised relief scrolls also accent around the edge of this piece. The artist signed and dated the backside "Eleanor Strubbe 1911". This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
