Awesome 118 Year Old English Platter ~ Design of Poppies with Gold ~ John Edwards England 1891

This platter has definitely seen a lot of years go by but has held up wonderful. It is decorated with olive green poppies and wild roses. Deep green leaves and other soft blue foliage are amongst the flowers. Deep green has been used to define the flowers and leaves and gold has been painted on the design accenting it beautifully. Even though it is a transfer the detailing is very beautiful! There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
