Charming Limoges Porcelain Cabinet Plate ~ White Pink Flowers with Red Holly berries ~ Haviland & Co 1888-1896

This is a beautiful ranson china blank, which is the most popular of Haviland china and the commonest of all blanks for decoration. It has a scalloped rim with raised relief painted in gold under the rim giving it a double edged look. Red insets are at each divot on the edge. On one side of the plate the artist has place a grouping of wonderful pink rimmed white flowers with yellow and green centers and red berries amongst green leaves. She has applied raised yellow enamel to the center of the flowers giving them a nice three dimensional look. The background is white with a light shade of pink and green around the group which really makes the flowers pop! There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
