Awesome Early English Majolica Cabinet Plate ~ Bright Green Leaves ~ Copeland 1847 - 1867

This is truly a beauty! The gloss is still very shinny and the color is bold and vibrant. The pattern has three bunches of leaves ruffled edges in raised relief design. In between the leaves is raised relief done with smaller leaf shapes. The entire plate is done in a beautiful green color that deepens as it recedes into the crevices of the leaves and raised relief. There is a small rim chip that is barely noticeable otherwise this piece is in excellent condition. IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE & ANTIQUES MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
