Stunning 14" Antique Limoges Porcelain Double-Handle Art Plate / Cabinet Plate ~ Hand Painted with White Hydrangea ~Tressemann & Vogt T&V France 1907-1919

This is an extraordinary piece of art work!! This is the artwork of an unknown porcelain painter but it could be from Lyekauf himself it is so well done. He has placed three large white hydrangeas (snowball flowers) amongst beautiful grayish green leaves. He has taken a taupe color and made little circular designs on the white flowers giving the impression of petals. The background colors are greens grays, golds and white and are all blended together incorporating the leaves and flowers in a dreamy effect. He has added a deep mulberry color on one section of the background which adds a wonderful contrast to the other earthy tones. The wide rim that surrounds the wonderful artwork is a pale seafoam green color, complimenting the flowers. The artist has painted the ornate handles, edge and inner ring with a rich gold paint completing this piece wonderfully. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
