Erphila Platter 12" Majolica Black Forest Pottery With Grapes ~ Western Germany

This Plate has beautiful grapes of deep purple and mottled leaves of deep green and pink. Around the grapes on the light green background raised relief is in the shape of vines coming out of the bunch of grapes. This piece has a very intricate border of two different patterns of lines and flowers. There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.

This would make a nice addition to any majolica collection.
